Christmas Eve, Day and Day After

Big hair, don't care. Pre-Christmas Eve...

I tried a day of tracking on my Weight Watchers App and on MyFitness Pal App. I went over on both...

On Christmas Eve the whole family donned antlers and we baked cookies.

It even snowed briefly.

Jumping for joy

Silly kids...

Christmas morning...

He wanted a frozen yogurt machine so badly!

The North Face jacket she wanted!

Can you tell he loves the Ravens?

A hot dog and bun toasting machine!

An RG III jersey for me!

The aftermath.

My mini-me

After unwrapping presents and then eating breakfast the kids had to go back to their dad's house for the rest of their break.

Hubby and I then drove up to Delaware to spend the rest of the day with his family. We had a good time. After everyone else left - hubby and I stayed at his parents house and drank wine and played the game "Heads Up" with his parents. We stayed up pretty late hanging out with them. It was so fun!

The next morning hubby brought us to his friends' coffee shop. We got to see the coffee roasting process from start to finish. It was pretty cool!

Stirring up the roasted coffee beans!

All packaged up!

On the drive home hubby and I were STARVING! We stopped at McD's and I ate a Big Mac. It was good too! I can't remember the last time I had one of those!

One of the gifts I received for Christmas was a FitBit Flex. So far I've really only been able to monitor my sleeping because I haven't worked out. I've caught ANOTHER daggone cold and have been coughing like crazy since Sunday's football game.

I am so frustrated that I'm sick again - for me and hubby's winter Staycation. My half marathon training is supposed to start on Monday too.

This morning's weigh-in has me holding steady still from last week - no gain, no loss. I'm good with that. I just don't want a gain for the holidays. The FitBit syncs with MyFitness Pal so I'll probably cancel Weight Watchers and go back to tracking calories for the New Year.

It's Starting to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Last Thursday's weigh-in I lost 0 pounds. I didn't gain either. I am still 1.2 pounds above my starting Weight-Watchers weight. I'm taking this as a win for me because I haven't been tracking or getting in much exercise.

So after the weigh-in I get to work and the office building is having a holiday buffet. Lovely. I didn't resist. I ate. Sausage patty, potatoes, eggs, a mini cinnamon roll, a mini blueberry muffin, and fruit salad. Can anyone say lack of willpower? Lovely.

And then if breakfast wasn't bad enough - it was also the day of our office holiday luncheon. They chose an Italian restaurant in Georgetown.

My boss ordered plenty of appetizers for the table. I had a few and then ordered the salmon for myself. I REALLY wanted some pasta but I figured I didn't need the carbs.

One of my co-workers gave me this adorable iPhone holder for my desk.

Another one of my co-workers gave everyone an 8 piece box of Godiva chocolates. Mine was gone in 2 days. Lack of willpower strikes again.

So Friday morning I did try to start the day off right and eat a greek yogurt. This new flavor from Yoplait is my new favorite. I hope the other grocery stores get a hold if it too instead of just Target!

The weekend was awesome!

Friday night hubby and I had a date night and grabbed a drink and split an appetizer before heading to the movies. We sad Madea's new holiday movie and it was HILARIOUS!

Saturday we got up and went our separate ways for some Christmas shopping. We then met in the afternoon for a beer and some lunch.

We went our separate ways again to finish our shopping and then met back at home to get everything wrapped!

THEN we went out for ANOTHER date night - two in one weekend for the win!

We went bowling sans children.

The first game I kicked booty!

The second game I lost but was still ahead overall.

But geez - the third game I fell apart. Hubby ended up creaming me by about 100 points! It didn't help that he barely had any open frames in that last game. My arm was pretty tired for the third game. I'm blaming it on my lack of weightlifting. I've ordered Beachbody's P90X3 to help rectify this. My challenge group starts January 6th.

My boss gave us tickets to the Redskins vs Cowboys game on Sunday. Of course the weather on Saturday while we were running around shopping was in the mid-70s. The weather for Sunday - still warm but rainy. My sweet hubby bought me this jacket for the game to help me stay dry.

And here we are in antlers again. I guess it's the thing to give out for all December events you attend.

Last 5K for the Year

After my 10K and lingering cough - I REALLY haven't gotten in many runs at all.

Here was a little lunchtime treadmill action

The following day was Weigh-In Day and I managed a 2.4 pound loss! But that loss still left me 1.2 pounds OVER my starting Weight Watchers weigh-in!

You would have thought that would have motivated me to get in some more workouts or even track my food more consistently. But no - that didn't happen. At all.

Friday the 13th I did another 30 minute lunchtime treadmill run to kind of prepare myself for my last Fort Meade 5K run of the year.

Saturday hubby ran the 5K too - even though he REALLY didn't want to. It was the last one in the 2013 series I had paid for. I wanted my time to be in the 31:00 range because my previous 5K there in October was 32:31. But alas that did not happen.

Yes we ran the whole 5K in the antlers they gave out

So although I didn't END the race with the time I wanted. I impressed myself with my Mile 1 Split time!

That evening we took the kids back up on base for bowling. Here's mini me sporting my coat, hat and purse - lookin just like her mama!

Sunday the kids started our first batch of Christmas cookies. We made chocolate chip (yes - Nestle had red and green chocolate chips). The kiddos and I started the batch and then hubby finished making them while I drove the kids back to their dad's house (darn custody schedule interfering in our cookie baking).

I've been reading a few fashion blogs and fashion Instagram accounts lately. Here's a picture of me and my attempt at being a little fashionable and trying some pattern mixing.

Last week my son had to have eye surgery. The ex-husband told me the wrong time to be at the hospital. Fortunately I had planned accordingly and got there earlier than what he had told me. If I would have arrived at the hospital at the time he told me to I would have missed all the prep work. What a jerk!

What a cutie

Last week's Mega Millions got ridiculously high!

I didn't win though. I won a whopping dollar!

Snow Day

December has been a hard month for me to keep up with my blogging. Not like I do a stellar job any other month of the year but December just seems much BUSIER than the other months lately.

Here's some pictures from my iphone of the little snow day the kids and I had almost two weeks ago!

All the weather reports had predictions of INCHES of snow and as you can see we didn't get too much at all. It started before sunrise though which freaked everyone out and they closed the Federal government and the schools so the kids and I had a bonus day at home. Hubby unfortunately had to go into work and since it was worse in Delaware he stayed overnight up there.
